GAI
OUR MISSION & HISTORY
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES.
Greenhouse Art Initiative is a U.S registered non-profit, founded by Oreoluwa Adeniji. What began as a simple idea blossomed into a leap of faith when she launched the very first GAI Talent Show in 2023, in partnership with Little Saints Orphanages in Lagos, Nigeria. That summer, children who had once been overlooked discovered their gifts, built confidence, and shined on stage.
The joy in their eyes and the transformation in their hearts spoke louder than words — proof that creativity could unlock hope. That unforgettable impact propelled her to take the vision further, and in 2024, GAI was officially registered as a nonprofit so that countless more children could dream bigger, rise higher, and know they are seen, valued, and full of possibility.
Mission: To empower underprivileged children primarily in Nigeria and the State of Maryland by nurturing their creative talents through sustainable skillset training, mentorship programs, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. We aim to provide the tools and support necessary for these children to realize their full potential and achieve lasting success.
Vision: To create a thriving community where every child can develop their abilities, grow with confidence, and lead a healthy, and fulfilling life.
"Defend the rights of the poor and needy." (Proverbs 31:9)
